Official Giveaway Rules

Alejandra Ramos, AlwaysOrderDessert.com, and its contributors are used interchangeably as “Always Order Dessert” in the following rules. Corporate sponsors are referred to as "Sponsor."

By participating in a giveaway on AlwaysOrderDessert.com, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Always Order Dessert, which shall be final and binding in all respects. You and your entries may be disqualified if you attempt to circumvent these official rules.

Eligibility:
Giveaways are open to readers with US shipping addresses, unless otherwise stated. Always Order Dessert, Sponsor and parents, affiliates, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies, clients and each of their respective members, officers, directors, employees and contractors (including participating bloggers) (collectively, the “Promotion Entities”), and members of their immediate families and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win a prize. Void in all jurisdictions other than the U.S.

Entry:
Entry is made by leaving a comment on the giveaway post. A limit of one entry is allowed per e-mail address. You may not enter more than once, whether or not you use a different e-mail address. Subsequent entries determined to be submitted with the same email address or from the same individual using multiple email addresses may be declared ineligible. You may, however, obtain additional entries on a particular giveaway through other channels when applicable and prompted (i.e., by performing an action such as posting to Facebook, mentioning on Twitter, or blogging about the giveaway).

Disclaimer:
Always Order Dessert is not responsible for: (a) any late or lost entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer or communications-related malfunctions or failures; any giveaway disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Always Order Dessert or by unauthorized human intervention; or (c) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the giveaway.

Entry Deadline Date:
All entries for giveaways through this site must be received on or before the given entry deadline date on the blog post announcing the sweepstakes to be eligible to win a prize ("Promotion Period"). Any entries received outside the Promotion Period will be disqualified.

Winner Selection and Notification: 
Winner(s) of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received throughout the Promotion Period using the selection tool on Random.org. All decisions are final. Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible Entries received. Winner will be notified by email at the email address provided in the Entry Information after the random drawing. Potential winner must accept a prize by email as directed by Always Order Dessert within 72 hours of notification. Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in prize forfeiture, in which case an alternate winner may be selected. No substitution or transfer of a prize is permitted except by Always Order Dessert and/or its Sponsor.

Taxes:
ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.

Prize:
The prize for the Sweepstakes will be stated in the giveaway post. 

Only one prize per person and per household will be awarded. Prizes cannot be transferred, redeemed for cash or substituted by winner. Always Order Dessert and/or its Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to award a substitute prize of equal or greater value if a prize described in the giveaway post is unavailable or cannot be awarded, in whole or in part, for any reason. The ARV of the prize represents Always Order Dessert’s good faith determination. That determination is final and binding and cannot be appealed. If the actual value of the prize turns out to be less than the stated ARV, the difference will not be awarded in cash. Always Order Dessert makes no representation or warranty concerning the appearance, safety or performance of any prize awarded. Restrictions, conditions, and limitations may apply. Always Order Dessert will not replace any lost or stolen prize items. Prize will only be awarded and/or delivered to addresses within the US Only.  Failure to comply with the Official Rules will result in forfeiture of the prize.

Privacy:
All entrants acknowledge that if they are chosen as a winner, certain of their personally identifying information may be disclosed to third parties at least as required by law, including, without limitation, names and mailing addresses on a winner’s list. All personal information submitted as part of the Sweepstakes may be shared by and between the Promotion Entities, and each of the Promotion Entities will use such information in accordance with their respective independent online privacy policies. Errors and Disputes:
In the event of a dispute as to the ownership of any entry, the person whose name appears on the entry form associated with the prize number for the winning entry will be deemed to be the winner. It is your responsibility to control access to your email account. In the unlikely event that the winning prize number is duplicated, or a similar error occurs, Always Order Dessert may conduct a random drawing among such inadvertently duplicated numbers or apply another equitable remedy in its discretion to determine the winner.

Limitation of Liability:
No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Promotion Entities resulting from user’s participation in, attempt to participate in, or download of any information in connection with participating in, the Sweepstakes. Always Order Dessert and/or its Sponsor are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error, which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. Always Order Dessert assumes no responsibility for any misdirected or lost mail, or any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay of operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries. Always Order Dessert is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, including injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Always Order Dessert which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, then Always Order Dessert reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. In such event, Always Order Dessert may, in its sole discretion, perform the random drawing from among all eligible Entries received prior to or after such cancellation, suspension, or modification.
